It's it just me or does anyone else find having a baby physical hard work? Does anyone else find it hard work pushing a pushchair? And legs get tired?

yes the classic has inflatable tyres.

Perhaps babyjogger would be best then that seems lighter as well from the website

I might just have to get used to the amount of walking I'm doing now anyway

I don't know how you do it the people on here who said they walk 5 miles a day

I couldn't manage it without my big tyres and suspension but don't have much choice as DS' school is 1.5 miles one way :o

It does take a bit of getting used too if you're not in the habit of it though.

Mine is a mountain buggy swift so the wheels aren't massive either. Maybe it is the air filled tyres that make the difference. I used it daily for 14 months before getting first puncture and that was both inner and outer tubes but wasn't a major problem or expense to fix..
Weight of pram is 9 kilos and dd is 13 kilos. No way I could carry 22 kilos on my back so easily!

I also had a nipper years ago which seemed good but it was when they only had a fixed front wheel which was a nightmare so I didn't get on with it. Pretty sure nippers have a swivel front wheel now.

Swuatternutbaush if she goes to our nearest school it's that far away too. And up that massive hill! Does your child who goes to school walk all that way with you too?

Yes he does purple, we did catch the bus home when he first started as he was so tired after the day without the walk too but since he was 6 we walk and now he rides his bike or scooter most days so its not so bad :)

purpleme12 · 04/10/2014 19:33

Mmm that's interesting I thought it might not be doable but maybe it is then

Where do you get your ones for £50 from? I can't find any that cheap!

Mine were ebay finds. Save searches for nipper 360, mountain buggy, babyjogger city classic, babyjogger city elite, and any others you come across. Be prepared to collect in person or arrange a courier. Wait for one to come up with your parameters and get stuck in.

JuniperTisane · 05/10/2014 15:49

Also go to Bestbuggy.co.uk to lose yourself in reviews of loads of pushchairs

SugarPlumpFairy3 · 06/10/2014 14:40

I have a Nipper for my 2yo twins and it's a dream to push! I sometimes use a M&P single and that is so so much more difficult to push than the double!

Heavy pushchair doesn't always mean heavier to push at all.

I am a bit worried about getting air filled tyres because surely if they punctured when I'm out I'm stuck? and it'll get expensive to buy another tyre each time?

Presumably a city mini is as good apart from the air tyres?

The trikes are much worse. All the lightweight strollers are pretty hard going IMO, you want something with BIG tyres to actually make it easier.

purpleme12 · 09/10/2014 11:10

We've got her a trike anyway for her birthday but I won't be using that to get around most of the time like for the reasons I listed in this thread. I may ask for babyjogger for Christmas I guess....
