My DS is 11m now and I think we'll go for waiting until we think he's ready.

But, has anyone tried this?

Yes - wait until he is ready then it will happen quickly. I tried to speed up my first born just before he was 2 and it was a disaster (not able to control fully at night until he was 6). My 2 and 3 DS were clean and dry in a week only a few months after 2nd birthday but they and I were very relaxed about it - as well as them being able to feel it. Good luck.

Do you mean Elimination Communication? My friend has had loads of success doing it with her DS from birth.

What's this OP?

Moomin. It's where you put them on a potty after meals or when you think they need to use one.

I've heard stories of children crawling to use their potty at very young age with this technique

My friend did it with her dd. She was clean and dry by 16 months. However it involved putting her on the potty multiple times a day and holding her there obviously day in day out for a year. My friend wanted to do this and was happy with the outcome. She didn't go on to use that method with her son which I think is quite telling.

I waited until mine were ready and it took ds1 about 3 weeks (not sure he was quite ready), ds2 3 days and ds3 a week. I know what I prefer.

I waited until my eldest was gone 2 and it was cracked within a week.
