Speech strangery with DS1

Does anyone else's child repeat the final sound of a word? DS1 did it a while ago, when he was first speaking single words (cat t-t-t - so three distinct "t" sounds after the word).

He's just started doing it again, but this time with sentence speaking, so: "I got the paper with grandad-d" or "six o'clock-ck-ck"

It's like he stammers on the end of the word. I'm not worried about it - just wondering if anyone else's child does it because I don't know any who do.

NaBO what a switched on DD you have

I'm at the customer end of SALT and have now come to realise that although it is not as well paid as what I do it is certainly a lot more family friendly!

The SALT who works with my DS charges £65 an hour and works 9-3 every day and the odd home visit in the evening every so often to update parents without the child there. So 6 hours a day 5 days a week at £65 an hour is arounds £2000 per week, with no childcare (her DCs are at school) and minimal overheads - updating her training and a small amount of travel costs.

I think it really is a well paid intersting job which fits in well with family life - so a definite recommendation from me too
