Do you use them? Never have, but would like to. Thing is, we don't have a cd player so would have to buy one & not sure how much of a success they'll be with my LO anyway (9-she reads lots independently anyway, 7-a reluctant reader but enjoys stories & 2).

We use them in the car. But very seldom at home.
Brilliant in the car, the how to train your dragon series are just fantastic.

My 8 and 10 year old love listening to them in bed.

Farthing wood ones, horrid henry, jeremy strong, watership down etc etc.

Mine love them, usually via Audible and on my iphone. We like the Iggy and Me stories, the How to Train Your Dragon series (read by David Tennant so they get my vote) and Harry Potter. And my youngest (5) likes Mog. They often listen at bedtime.

My dyslexic DD1 used to get them from the library, HP CDs lived in her bunk she had them out so often.

She had a portable CD player that cost 50p at a Guide white elephant stall. She's 16, it still works.
