Would appreciate your opinions - can't decide.

Sorry not much help as its giving you another option.
We're going for the mamas and papas snug instead. As reviews say that it lasts longer than the bumbo and I think you can remove the seat insert to make it even bigger, I also think the toy tray looks really good.

Sorry, I don't think they are that great, as the baby's head is not supported.

If I had my time again, I would go for a BabyBjorn bouncy chair (babysitter balance) as they last up to toddler age.

Thanks November - not sure the activity tray warrants an extra £20 quid, but I like the look of it a lot (putty). x

Thanks, Branching. He's got a bouncer (and my budget's not big). DS has plagiocephaly, so we want something with no head rest.

Ah, fair enough.

I was just coming back to say that obviously it depends on the age of the baby. I remember feeling a bit uncomfortable when NCT friends were putting babies of 10 weeks or so in bumbos.

Hope you find what you need - would an IKEA antilop be the thing?

We're using gift cards for ours, but you can pick them up on eBay for a good price.

If you didn't want the toys, I think the standard tray and seat is the same price as Bumbo.

Ooh - that looks interesting... now you've thrown another option in though! shakes fist Smile

I have a bumbo for my DD. It has been very useful when visiting family etc. as it's portable and it's also been handy for feeding her as I've only just got round to buying a high chair (she's 8 months Blush). I did try her in a friends M&P snug which I totally preferred to the bumbo and I wish I'd gone one instead! It has a higher back so the neck is more supported and she loved the play tray.

BranchingOut · 05/09/2014 12:49

The moulded seat of the antilop is somewhat bumbo-esque. :)

Right - think I'll go for the M&P snug - no room for the Antilop as it doesn't fold away (and we live in Mrs Pepperpot's house). Thanks Felix xx
