How can I get my 20 month old ON TO a Dummy

Yes you read it right, not off, but on.

ds had a dummy as a very young baby but then took to sucking his 2 fingers, its now got to the stage where they are going yellow and developing blisters.

I know its a comfort thing but I would rather him have a dummy than ruin his fingers (and they look quite sore at the moment)

any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a friend who's doctor advised - ordered in fact - that her two year old be given a dummy instead of sucking her thumb. My friend tried her best, but her dd stick sucks her thumb and just plays with the dummy. Maybe you can look for other ways at stopping your ds sucking her fingers?

Bless. Has he a soft toy he likes that he could chew on? Ds also 20m has a winnie pooh that he sucks to death and 'teddy' that he chews his face off!
He used to suck his thumb, but went onto 'winnie'at around 10 months.

How do i go about encouraging a cuddly or blankie for an 18 month old??

going to put her in her own bed and teach her to fall asleep on her own on the 6th oct and wuld liek to be able to introduce a cuddly that she cddles in bed, as she used to sleep half the night with me and I'm trying to make it easier on her

he has a dog that he likes to sleep with but he has one arm around that and the other in his mouth. Just wondered if there were any imaginative ways to introduce a dummy
