3 month old...teething?

Hey all. Dd2 is almost 3 months old and has lately been showing signs of teething.
She chews her hand/thumb constantly.
She dribbles a lot
She is breast feed exclusively as she refuses a bottle but she keeps biting down HARD.
I can't feel teeth but I can see where they will be.
Is this even possible or likely at this age?
DD1 had her first tooth at 5.5 months.

DEFINITELY!!! My now 9.5 month old DD has only recently cut her first 2 teeth (bottom ones) having been teething also since 3 months!!! Poor thing had to wait all that time!

If your DD is displaying all those signs then I'd say it most definitely is teething. Being your second I'm sure you are well aware of what else to look out for. But ultimately it's a waiting game!

My DD loves 'Sophie' (big and small) plus the teething rings you put in the fridge.

Personally I found Ashton & Parsons to be unaffective but Ambesol has been good and of course Calpol if particularly bad.

Oh Lordy... We're just coming out of the dreaded HELL colic / reflux phase... Whyyyyyyyy?
Thanks for the tips. DD1 was like a dream in comparison and we barely even noticed she was teething until I saw them appear!

My DD got her first teeth at 2.5 months! It's definitely possible.

My DD was like this at 4 months and I initially thought teething. I spoke to a HV and she said that most babies do it at that age/stage, but doesn't mean teething.
According to her when a baby finds their fingers/fist, like anything been put in the mouth, saliva (sorry if thats spelt wrong) is produced, and with babies being unable to control it they slaver everywhere. The biting hard is part of them developing and learning to use their mouth ready for eating.
She also said that it could be a sign that DD was ready to have solids introduced.

Mine started teething at 10 weeks but his first two teeth came through together at 5 months.

Definitely could be teething but she may not get them for a while.

Lots gets attributed to teething but as a pp has said it's more likely she's just found her hands and has discovered she has control over them. Until around this point they don't actually realise their hands are attached to their bodies.

Our HV said DS had just 'found his mouth' when he started doing this at 3 months. Lo and behold at 20 weeks, two bottom teeth popped out. He was definitely teething in hindsight. You know your baby, trust your gut

can train them not to bite whilst bfing - I found the scream of pain I issued each time gave them a hint that it was not a good idea

Both my DCs had several teeth by 3 months.

Sounds like teething to me. My DD is coming up to 4 months and has been dribbling, chewing hands and having pink cheeks since about 3 months.
Today we have added crying for hours to the mix.
Feel a bit sorry for DS as DD is so loud!

My DS was like this at around 3 months, but HV said the salivary glands start becoming very active at this age and that was the cause of the rivers of drool. She was right as DS didn't get first tooth till 11 months old!
