Hi - Does anyone know of a good (not too cringy) singing classes for babies in s.w. London area? My 14 wk old DD loves it when we sing and I thought it would be a nice thing to do.

Thanks

LMG Mum

I would try Monkey Music. I can't stand this sort of class and even I don't mind Monkey music. Look up a local class on the I ternet - its a franchise and there are lots of classes

Blueberry playsongs really good. You do get v young babies.

And they let your kids run free, whereas some you get into trouble if you can't keep your child on your lap. This won't apply for a few months!

Blonde - I was just about to mention mini crotchets. Are you doing it at the mo? I am going to take ds2 in Janueary probably.

Hi Wilbur, yes we were there this very afternoon
We go to the 3.30pm class although there aren't many of us at the moment so we might have to move to the earlier slot

How are you?

I used to take dd to the Thursday morning one, but I think Joya doesn't do that any more and all classes are on Tues, right? Will prob do Tues am.

We're fine - a bit stressed as we've moved temporarily back to Battersea while our house is being torn apart (and hopefully put back together by builders). Went round today and it was a demolition site - my mantra is "new kitchm new kitchen, new kitchen....."

I agree with ADadonMumsnet with the Blueberry recommendation. It is particularly good that the 'teacher' is always a talented musician and plays along on their guitar. Some classes involve singing along to a tape which I personally can't really see the point of paying for...

Most classes only take kids from 9 months as they don't really join in before, but you could make use of the various free class offers in magazines like 'Families' (from libraries) etc to suss out which class you want to start later. Otherwise classes held in libraries don't seem to have an age limit and are much cheaper, if not of such a good standard!

I also found that they all seemed a bit cringy to start with, but since the LOs love it so much, if you just get into it and sing along then you will enjoy it much more!
