Hi I've just received this medicine I ordered from amazon recently for my 6 yr old son who doesn't have ADHD but is hyperactive. Has anyone heard of it or used it? The reviews have been useful but good to hear more experiences. Thank you

Has your GP or paediatrician approved of this homeopathic medicine that you are planning to give to your DS?

I would be very wary of anything bought through unofficial sources that has not been prescribed, especially for a child.

How sure are you that it contains the ingredients listed?

All he will have is very expensive urine.
If your son is hyperactive, how about asking the gp for a paed referral?
Please do not buy any medicine, homeopathic or otherwise, from the Internet.

Homeopathic 'medicine' doesn't work.

At very best, it will be harmless. Don't waste your money.

Others will think me woo woo, but I've used homeopathy with good results. However I would recommend seeing a qualified practitioner as remedies are specific to individual people rather than just symptom and dosage is important.

Ok before anyone gets abit judgemental, I've already been to doctors and psychologists and parenting sessions (x2)for his behaviour and all they said was he will grow out of it. After some years passing by and nothing changing I've decided to try this medicine. It's been 24 hours and I already seen a difference and so has his football coach who he was with today. I've spoken with my gp who has said that's it's fine to take. We get medicine prescribed to us all the time including antibiotics and most of the time I'm sure ppl don't even check the ingredients. I'm confident this will work for my son. Thank you for the input. Smile

It's just sugar. It can't do any harm, and if it makes you and him feel better than hurrah.

Please push for a further paediatric referral though and follow that route. I'm not clear whether you've diagnosed your son yourself or got an official dx. "He'll grow out of it" is a very odd thing for a doctor to say of a child with a formal dx.

You won't believe the amount of times I had to push the gp for a referral and when I took him to the specialist I was told that his behaviour wasn't consistent with ADHD. I've seen other professionals and spoken to his school more than a few times and they all say his behaviour isn't consistent with ADHD. He is just a very hyperactive child who needs help calming down.

There is nothing in homeopathic stuff anyway just sugar water.

Branleuse · 12/08/2014 23:09

you havent said what homeopathic medicine it is?

What is it and what made you match it with your son?

idontlikealdi · 13/08/2014 09:48

I wouldn't give my child anything bought from the internet, but that's just me.

If he is hyperactive the sugar probably won't help.

Kids relief with calming effect. He's been using it 3 days now and it's worked. Hurray for me and maybe now I can finally enjoy being a parent instead of dreading the next tantrum GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

I've spoken with 2 gp's now, both different to the ones I went to originally who told me he would grow out of it. They both say the medicine is fine. It's actually shipped out from the states and I got my friend in New York to dig a little and do some research on it. She is also a mother and wouldn't hesitate giving it to her son. It's available in most pharmacies there.

If it's Homeopathic, it's NOT medicine, it contains no active ingredients.

If it's "herbal" it may well be medicine (too many people confuse herbal and homeopathic, they are not the same), and you should discuss with your child's Dr.
