banana flavour fruit shoots?

gemmiegoatlegs · 17/09/2006 20:20

I was under the impression that fruit shoots are not that bad cos the do not contain a ny artificial flavours, colours etc. And also that they are not good because they are made of concentrated juice (ie. process it, take out the water and most of the goodness and then replace the water) Whilst they contain naturally occuring fruit sugar they have no added sugar.

stoppinattwo · 17/09/2006 20:20

we have done macdonalds a couple of time this week too, but we can stop that any time.

Its just somtimes so much easier than cooking at home, he's getting all his meat n veg there, whats the green thing in the burger called again???

Does he eat anything else with lots of additives(let's face it most of us do). Some people, especially little people can go dolally if they have too many E numbers. Try a couple of days of made from scratch meals and no sugar apart from fruit and see how he goes.

stoppinattwo · 17/09/2006 20:22

I really cant believe his behaviour is so affected by what he eats, i think he just does it for the attention

I think where your going wrong is you need to be getting him the quarter pounder with cheese, that way he gets two green things I'm not sure one is enough also that plastic cheese will do for his daily calcium intake to make his diet more rounded.

gemmiegoatlegs · 17/09/2006 20:24

OOh, Mc Donalds is naughty for the kids, howevrr much they say they have improved nutritional standards. How many kids do you know who would choose a fruit bag and a carton of milk with their Mc Nuggets? Pah!
(We go to McDs sometimes but we leave the kids at home. LOL)

stoppinattwo · 17/09/2006 20:26

oh ledodgyrobespierre those green bits give me the creeps, i always put mine on DS's burger anyway.

what about skittles???

OP posts:
ledodgyrobespierre · 17/09/2006 20:31

Skittles are only good if he can put 10 in his mouth at once so all those lovely colours mix, smarties used to be brill but now they're simply a muted version of their former selves.

stoppinattwo · 17/09/2006 20:32

that was orange flavoured chocolate they used to put in the orange ones wasnt it???

OP posts:
ledodgyrobespierre · 17/09/2006 20:33

yes.

crunchie · 17/09/2006 20:35

skittles surely count as fruit, don't they????

ledodgyrobespierre · 17/09/2006 20:36

Yes but you need to eat at least 5.

stoppinattwo · 17/09/2006 20:42

So a packet could last you a week for packed lunches then................ great

ledodgyrobespierre - your joking about the orange smarties right? I only like the orange ones

misdee · 17/09/2006 21:30

SewingMadMummy · 17/09/2006 22:25
