Please can someone help me

I have a 6mo dd that screams bloody murder everytime she's set down and I think im on the verge if a panic attack. She is generally happy and pleasant but if I set her down it even sit down with her she goes crazy. I have a 21 mo ds and I feel like he's getting no attention because she is so demanding. He's having tantrums big time at the minute to so it's just a house of constant crying and drama and I am going up the wall.
Tried looking at suggestions online and all I can see is idiots telling me I should not set her down etc. not possible when you are at home all day with 2 babies! I have a baby Bjorne which she's too big for and alwYs hated anyway,

Really appreciate any tips before I do a runner :(

Hmmm! So constantly wants to be held?

I too have a "Velcro baby" - my only suggestion is to invest in a good sling/carrier but looks like you've already tried that?

What about a bumbo seat? Or even in the high chair with loads of crap to play with on the tray?

Sorry if you've exhausted all these ideas, I can only offer sympathy. It's effing hard work when they are like this!

Have you tried a Jumperoo????

joanna1985 · 02/07/2014 20:49

Yeah she hates the jumperoo I she just wants in the womb I. Think :) I'm worrying it's because my ds hits her sometimes and she's scared but she loves him and gets all excited to see him so I don't know

I hope she grows out if it soon I can get nothing done and I'm so stressed with the constant crying from all angles

I would try a different sling. DS hated the Bjorn but loved the ergo which I still use and he 2.5. It can go on the front, back or hips so they don't get bored and you could play with your DS more easily too .

MagpieMama · 02/07/2014 22:16

I was also going to suggest a different carrier, I used my stretchy wrap a lot. DS is 8 months and loves it. It's really comfortable for me too.

tmae · 02/07/2014 22:29

I've heard lots of people say the baby bjorn is uncomfortable, I use a connecta and that is comfy, you can so a back carry too which should make it easier to get on with other things. Sorry that this is the same sort of advice you've had as I can understand why that is frustrating but couldn't think of anything else to suggest x

GiantIsopod · 03/07/2014 00:19

My DC HATED Baby Bjorn, loved the Moby wrap though. It's so tough having a toddler in the middle of the whole tantrum stage, plus a clingy baby, I look back and it's all a horrible haze of sleeplessness tbh.

BB01 · 03/07/2014 05:14

As others have said, would it be worth trying a different carrier? The Bjorn type, with narrow base, is known for being not v comfortable. A lot of people move from the Bjorn to one like Ergo, Manduca, Beco, Connecta or Boba. Most towns have a sling library or sling meet near where you can try different ones or you can get postal sling hire. But often the older they get the more you can distract them at least for a few minutes!

joanna1985 · 03/07/2014 07:45

Maybe ill try that. Tbh i dont want to carry her about 247 as i have a toddler too...its really getting me down, its ly 7.50 and its going on already. Im finding myself getting so so frustrated and angry then feeling guilt, i know she cant help it shes just a baby but its really getting me down. Its like she forgets sometimes and then soon as she sees me starts screaming again to get lifted.
Thanks for the help

Joanna, I hate, hate, hate my son crying. However I have a husband who has two children already and he taught me the valuable lesson that if there is nothing wrong then sometimes you've just got to let them cry. Fed, changed, loved... You need to have some time to retain your sanity and to spend with your other child. If you can tolerate it I would controlled crying. X

It really sounds difficult for you. I wish I had more ideas to suggest, I really do. But this will pass and don't feel bad if either of them have to wait for attention. You can only do your best.

RabbitSaysWoof · 04/07/2014 07:33

Want to second what Mummybobo said, of course you need to move away from her sometimes she will get used to it eventually, its not cruel.

KnockMeDown · 04/07/2014 07:43

Slightly different tack - have you tried her with a dummy?
