My DD is nearly 8 months old and hasn't been herself the past week.

A week ago she projectile vomited straight after her morning feed. She has been generally ok but not 100%, taking less milk at nearly all her feeds, showing not much interest in her solids (except for her banana porridge which she LOVES) and her nappies at times haven't been quite right.

She has seen the doctor who examined her, t

Oops didn't mean to post then!

The doctor said she was fine and today she has overall been better but when my DH was settling her after her evening feed she was showing signs of being in pain, we think with her teething.

So we decided to give her some Calpol but she wouldn't take it. Got it in her head she doesn't like it?!??

After forcing a little down her she then gagged from it, which then made her vomit - a load!!!! My poor bunny :(

Any way she is now asleep and so hope she sleeps peacefully.

My and my DH believe she only committed because she gagged. Not because she has become worse in any way.

We have an appointment to go back to the GP tomorrow but wondering whether to an wondering generally what you other mums think?

I think it sounds like she's teething, simple as that. Ds used to have awful nappies, vomit and eat less when he was cutting a tooth. Have you tried teething powders rather than calpol?

Mumof3xox · 27/06/2014 16:19

It took my dd til 12 months to willing take calpol/childrens nurofen
Before that she wOuld gag and be sick

I think she sounds a bit under the weather, possibly because of teeth, possibly a virus.

I don't think you need to see a Dr unless she is refusing all foodand drinks/having dry nappies/a high long lasting fever/rash.

7.5 month old DD was like this a couple of weeks ago. We didn't take her to the Dr's and she got over it after a few days. A tooth came through the following week so thinking it was probably that.

Thank you. We decided not to take her to the GP. She still isn't herself but seems better overall.

I am convinced a tooth is gonna be here any day! She is constantly tugging in her ear, dribbling more, chewing more and playing with her tongue more.

She still isn't particularly interested in her solid feeds (except for her banana porridge) but has had a bit more at her milk feeds at least.
