Not sure which forum to write this in but am after a nappy bin to prevent soiled nappies lying around the house and endless trips to the bin but am looking for something pretty basic so no fancy cartridges etc (what do these do, I'm not sure?). Has anyone got any suggestions? I know lots of people don't bother with one and I wasn't going to either but gave found I would like one.

We have the Tomee Tippee Sangeniv bin, it does have a fancy cartridge! Basically the cartridge is just a roll of nappy sacks so you stick the nappy straight in the bin turn the cartridge and it seals it in a "bag" rather than you having to tie it in a bag separately. It still stinks when it's full though.

We switched to reusable nappies pretty quickly which I found smelt a lot less as you flush the poo down the loo rather than keeping it in bags... But that's a whole other conversation!

Thanks I'm using disposable nappies so am just liking really for a bin that stores a days worth of say a mornings worth and then an afternoons worth to save a trip jt the bin outside each and every nappy change

Any plastic bin or box with a reasonably tight-fitting lid from a hardware or DIY shop will do the trick.

I just used to put wet ones in the normal bin, pooey ones got tied up in a supermarket carrier bag first. Never had any smells.

Ive got an old fashioned style dust bin bin from my local 'we sell cheap plastic stuff' shop ot has a tighht fitting lid. I often still use nappy bags for stinkey nappies which helps with the smell in the bin

I just hang a carrier bag on the back door handle ...

We just use a carrier in a normal plastic bucket.

We use a Karrimor drybag and it seals in smells etc.

Although we use cloth but dont see why it wouldnt work with disposables.
