Which toys did your child get the most use out of and enjoy the most around this age?

My DS (21 months) has been obsessed with cars, trucks, trains, tractors, fire engines, etc for months now. He has a vast collection and loves driving them around. On the same theme, he has a Fisher Price 'garage' with a spiral ramp that he can push the cars down and that gets a lot of use too. He has recently become interested in shapes, so the shape sorter is a new favourite, along with a set of Mega Blocks for building. And he loves books. Especially if they are about cars, trucks, trains, tractors, fire engines...

Thank you for the suggestions, some great ideas have been mentioned Smile

I didn't half laugh about your 2 year old putting people in a pan and cooking them Grin

early learning centre have a fab toy - pop it in the post - a plastic post box, plastic envelopes and letters. Excellent for this age group. My dd gets lots of use out of it and even my eldest too!!

Fisher price Ark is also a good one as well as make believe food items, and kitchens with pots and pans. Etc

Ds is 18 months and loves his brio train track, other favorites are Russian dolls ( with the tiny dolls taken out) a bead maze, a song box which is a box with little figures in which represent different songs, elephant for nelly the elephant, spider for incy wincy spider and lots more, he also has musical instruments, they were more popular around 1.
