Hi

Anyone know how to stop DD (14months) from chewing her cotbed. It has teething thingys on either side so she is chewing the the ends. There is now lovely teeth marks all over it. Is this normal?

Try not to worry. My DS1 used to rock backwards on forwards on all fours every night from 9 months until about 2 years old.

They are often odd things, children.

It's a comfort thing, I've been told, and a way of getting to sleep.

hi....just got online to post this same question....
any suggestions as to how to stop it????

my 10mth old is biting her cot rail too, like its the best thing to do in the world, of course my main concern is not the holes, but thepaint she is chipping off and i guess possibly eating too.

can anyone help me and TRYN2HRD????? as this new habit of DD is not her new wasy of going to sleep

Bubble99 - that is such a relief to hear you say that as my DS does that. Plus shaking head from side to side making him look like he has some neurological disorder... Kids. Who'd 'ave 'em!

Well my son used to have splinters of wood sticking out of his teeth where he had been eating his cot nothing we did made him stop but I was so concerned he would choke it frightened me so much, he seemed to do it more when he was teething he is now in a cotbed as he is just over 2 and he hasnt tried to eat that however yesterday he was on the naughty step for trying to eat my new £ 500.00 dining room table , and he did he head shaking thing.
