Should I wake 15 week old during daytime?

I have heard "never wake a sleeping baby" and "sleep encourages sleep" but does that have limits?! My 15 week old DD sleeps for about 8 hours at night, waking once or twice for breast feeds. But she can sleep for anything up to 4 hours, twice during the day! In her Moses basket or crib she'll only really nap for an hour or so but will have marathon naps on me. Should I be waking her up? I feel terribly guilty letting her nap away while I read or watch box sets!

I would let her sleep. I used to look after a little boy who would have happily slept for hours. I think it's when they're worn out from putting energy into growing, understanding, etc. she'll cut down when she's ready.

She may not even be in a deep sleep, just enjoying the closeness.

Enjoy the sleepy cuddles whilst you can! Don't feel guilty your baby knows your there :)

Defo let them sleep

Definitely let her sleep. She knows you're there and will wake when she wants to be fed. There'll be a time when she won't want to nap on you and you'll long for those days to return Smile also they'll be days when you're begging for her to nap and she just won't Smile

God no, sleep is so important for them especially at that age. Her wee brain is sorting through all her new experiences and bedding down what she's learned. It's really good.

I've read about 5h a day is average for that age so she's anyway not that far out from average... never know what will happen when they are older but my long napper is still a long napper at 2 years (takes a 2h nap and a 12h night sleep, has to be wakened from nap) so you might be very lucky!
