My DS has some social/communication difficulties and his school has asked my consent for him to receive 1:1 sessions with a support worker using the Thrive Approach. I have googled it and it appears to be based on neuroscience (although not developed by doctors) and used primarily in Devon. Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of it and would you recommend?

I'm in Devon and yes, it is used in a lot of our schools. I'm not trained in it but am interested and have referred various children to be assessed for it. I'm not sure we've used it long enough, or consistently enough, in my school for us to see any results as such yet. More striking results were obvious in the school I was governor in last year.

I would be happy enough if my daughter were to be offered some 'thriving'.
