Have you tried leaving the bowl in front of her, with a spoon and wandering away and leaving her to it? Ds (12months) does this sometimes and it seem sto be him reminding me that he can feed himself now (well, he likes to think he can!).

Ill give this a try at tea time, see how it goes. She can be a little madam so maybe this will work. Thanks, I'll post later and let you know... thanks!

Fingers crossed for you...!
It's great when you can stop 'feeding' and move to 'supervising feeding' instead...because you can supervise with a cup of tea in your hand, or get the washing up done while 'supervising'! Ds ate his whole dinner himself yesterday - with his hands, but that's fine!

. Sometimes she may want to be all independent and feed herself totally( and the floor, and the highchair etc) and other times she may prefer to be 'helped' for a bit too (often at the start and the end of the meal)..other times she may decide it is all too much hassle and sit there with her mouth open waiting for you to feed her!
