siblings and "fairness"

dds are obsessed with fairness and it's driving me up the wall. we had MAJOR meltdown yesterday because all the biscuits were in halves, they each had two halves but, of course, that - apparently - meant one had more than the other, because they weren't exactly the same. do they ever get over this?

I remember being like that with my sister.
I'm over it!

i remember making my mum weigh the bowls of angel delight to show they were equal between me and my brother

she then showed us how to do it ourselves

get some scales and they can weigh the biscuits, moving one crumb at a time

I'm just not prepared to go to the lengths they would to ensure fairness - their idea of fairness is impossible to implement and i tend to take the tough- life's not like that line. but it would be nice if they could work out that maybe a few grams of biscuit is not worth an hour of hysterics...
