Ideas to keep baby entertained

My DD is 6 months old and it looks like this week (thanks to the rubbish weather and being without a car this week) we are gonna be stuck indoors.

I am a very actively involved mummy and play with her a lot but am out of new ideas and thugs to do.

We sing songs, read books, play on her mat, jumperoo, baby gym. Stack cups, show her household objects and talk about them to her. Point to things outside the window. Go into different rooms for a change of scene.

What else is there?????

Would greatly welcome anything else that you all do that I don't.

Thanks

eek Stuck indoors for a week with a 6 month old is my idea of absolute hell!!

Could you invite any friends round to break the monotony?

Do a playtime bath with lots of toys and splashing?

I'm not in the UK but hopefully the weather improves so that you can get out - good luck!!

Do you have a paddling pool? I saw a fab idea recently where you put gunky items- choc cake, or squidgy foam, on a plate with diff containers and other touchy feely items -- add naked baby and watch the fun unravel 9 hopefully leaving your kitchen clean)

My two are way too old for such things, but it looked like great fun for the baby!!!

Thank you. I was supposed to see a friend and her baby tomorrow but because my DD has a cold I cancelled. (Never thought I'd be bothered about a common cold but it affects everything - feeding, breathing, sleeping. Poor baba).

The paddling pool idea sounds great but unfortunately I don't have one.

Playing with sticky jelly.
Mark making with flour - sprinkle it on a large chopping board and zoom cars through it to make tracks/ draw pictures with your fingers.
Day time bath - do something different to make it special like jumping in together or drawing in the tikes with shaving foam.
Dancing to music - grown up music as well as kids.
Turning lights out and playing with torches.
