I don't really no what this comes under on this I'm having a big problem with leaving my 5 month old daughter my partners grandparents keep asking when they can take her out and have her over night and I'm not ready to leave her but there being very pushy with the whole thing I they drink alot on a night every night and I am not putting my daughter in that situation I don't no how to say no and just keep saying soon how do I tell them they can't have her over night?

You are completely within reason not to want your baby to stay overnight with relatives, and the drinking makes it particular reasonable that you don't want to leave her there.

If they ask again, just say something like "she and I are not ready for that at the moment." If they respond by asking again, or asking why not etc just reply by saying that the more they ask the less you will discuss it. If they persist, start repeating "I've explained this already, it's not up for discussion". Repeat it like a broken record and don't engage with this sort of conversation.

If you don't want your baby to stay away for a night, and they know it, then the only reason they are asking is a selfish one. If they won't listen to you, then they are showing that they aren't really the sort of people you want to look after your baby.

My 5 Month old is now into a good routine & I wouldn't want that broken. You could make it clear that you don't want your DD's routine broken (staying overnight elsewhere) as it will cause too much upheaval. Also 5 Months is still quite young & of course in time maybe, but she's still very little
