Toddlers teeth

Our lg is 19 months and her top two front teeth and perfectly straight but the two either side of those are set slightly further back, making it look like her teeth are wonkey. She does have a dummy but only has it through the night, although not all night as she will fall asleep without it and it often falls out her cot in the night and she doesn't notice. She also never had a dummy until she was in hospital at 12 months so not long. Could it still be causing it or do toddler teeth often line up one the rest come through?

I'd be surprised if the dummy was the cause here... she's not had it that long and only at night... Its probably just the way her teeth are growing and there's not much you can do about it now. They might straighten out when the others come through, but it depends on where they are placed.

I really wouldn't worry about it - get a dentist to check them out when she gets to 2 but I don't think there's much they'll be able to do until she's older anyway.

I'd be surprised if it was the dummy, I think I've heard that can start to push the teeth out if they have them past 2/3 years. I asked my dentist about DS' wonky teeth, and he wasn't bothered by them, as he said teeth move around a lot at this age. Also I'm not sure how much the position of milk teeth affects the adult teeth in the long time. I'm sure your DD looks gorgeous anyway!
