Any tips for helping a snuffly baby to sleep

My DD has a cold and is very blocked up. And like adults it's worse when she's on her back.

I have raised the head end of her cot, use saline drops throughout the day, rub a little Snuffle Babe in her chest and back and if she's particularly bad would give her Calpol.

But she wakes so many times through the night and am sure its due to her being uncomfortable sleeping on her back.

Anything else maybe I'm missing?

You could try sprinkling olbas oil around the room but not on bedding in case she rubs her eye on some.

how old is she?

Humidifier?

I find the calpol vaporiser (or other brands) really good.

My DD also thinks I'm evil but I use one of those snot suckers before bed.

I use tea tree diluted in olive oil, just a few drops, rubbed on chest and back. But I use tea tree for pretty much everything.

She is 22 weeks. I have Olbas Oil but won't it be too much with the snuffle babe too?

no, a few drops near the bed will be fine.

Apparently rubbing some snufflebabe onto the soles of the feet works no idea why

Room Tea: I swear by this for ds, even now.
Very large bowl (more of a small tub) of boiling hot water placed somewhere (safe!) in room, with a few bags of peppermint and eucalyptus tea in it (I use about 6).
It has got us through many blocked noses and coughs.

My tip btw - prepare the bowl and teabags in the room, and then bring the just-boiled kettle over to fill it, rather than carrying a huge bowl of boiling water from kitchen to bedroom (we didn't have any accidents but a few near-misses before I figured out it would be better to do the other way!!).

Ds's room is quite small, and we had the door only slightly open, so it worked very well indeed and stayed effective for quite a long time into the night.
