Does anyone else have really tall children for their age?

Dd is 7. I've just bought her some age 11 trousers. They are just long enough. In tops, I tend to buy 11-12 to allow for growing room. They don't look too big.

Do they just stop growing earlier, or do they end up very tall? I'm tall, dh is tall, and she was on the .97th percentile for height when she was born. She's the tallest person in her class.

I'm struggling to find age appropriate clothes for her

Ok I'm not a mother or anything, but my sister is extremely tall for her age. I'm 16 and about 5'2. My dad a foot taller than me and my mum is quite tall too. My sister is 11 and will be turning 12 in September. She is already the same height as my mum and maybe even a bit taller. I've been petite all my life including having small hands and feet. She is a size 8. She normally wears age 14+ clothes and is already fully undergone puberty. However, I know that girls continue to grow until they're like 15 so I am weary she will be about the same height as my grandma who is about 5'10. People always mistake me for the younger sibling whenever we're together because of our height difference. It's hard to believe she's only just starting secondary school.

I was like this. Super, super tall for my age. I slowed down around 10 and eventually most people caught up. I was over the 99th percentile, I now stand at 5ft 11.

My DC is the same. Super tall. Age 5 and to start school we bought age 9-10 uniform which fits perfect. I suspect they will do the same as me and slow down/stop earlier than their peers.

My youngest is also tall but not to the same extent. Age 3 and wear age 5 clothes.

It does make finding age appropriate clothes a hassle when they are younger. I have found myself make a lot of their clothes to be more accommodating for this and their growth spruts.
