Scarlet fever or possible kawaski disease? Frightened

My little one got diagnosed with scarlet fever at a&e after seeing the doctor who said it was just a " viral " rash and as she was fine in herself it couldn't be anything like scarlet fever.
Monday she had a temperature ( which came down with calpol ) although she wasn't herself and didn't eat much although was drinking fine
Tuesday the temp was lower so didn't use aloof as wanted to see if it rose again, it didn't.
Noticed a red rash on her stomach in the evening which went under a glass, no temp ad was gone in the morning.
Wednesday no temp eating fine was out all day however bright red rash near genitals late afternoon which again was gone by Thursday as was planning to take her to the doctors if still there.
Thursday was fine same as Wednesday although Friday noticed where the rash was, had peeled and after using the dreaded google came up with scarlet fever.
Doctor was useless although a&e quickly diagnose scarlet fever, prescribed penicillin and checked her over.
I had noticed a small amount of dry skin between the toes Monday but after a bath and moisturiser completely gone.
Absolutely fine in herself, eating and drinking and no temperature although worrying its kawaskis disease now after docs first mis diagnosis and the fact the symptoms appear quite similar :(
Would I know if it was this?

I am glad your DD has been seen now. It seems that she is on a treatment and responding well to it.

Unless you like near an epicentre of Kawasaki disease, I think it is pretty rare. The odds of getting a diagnostic wrong twice are much lower than getting it wrong once.

I would go with her general demeanour/behaviour.

What's an epicentre?
She is fine in herself but always was bar Monday which is why I'm worrying I wouldn't know

Sorry, the epicentre is the point where an earth quake or explosion starts. I always use rather pictural expressions, I must be careful. Smile

Have you contacted another GP at your practice to ask how to follow on after the A&E visit? It may be the best way if you are worried, eg book a routing appointment to check the antibiotics are having the desired effect.

Is this the usual cause of kawAski disease then?
I have absolutely no idea about either this or scarlet fever if I'm honest.
Looking on the google search engine doesn't cut it!
We are being seen on Thursday for next dose of pencillin so she will be checked over then
Thanks for your reply
