Ds1 and Ds2 are very, very attached to theirs. Ds1 likes to hold on in case it falls off, while Ds2 will dive in the moment his nappy is removed.

I am jealous. And curious.

Men: what is it that is so lovely about holding on to a penis?

People with daughters: what do they do instead (I don't want them to be missing out!)?

I've found a solution to the dirty nappy one. As you remove the nappy start singing the little green frog. By the time you get the pooey nappy off you will have got to the "tra la la la la" bit, which means that any self respecting toddler must wave their arms about frantically. You then quickly clean the poo off the penis before the verse finishes and they dive in!

Hee hee, it is lovely to read these. I have only just started checking out mumsnet as normally never find time... My ds is nearly 6 months old and grabs his willy or surrounding area every time he can. I have also worried that he is going to damage himself, his nails are always sharp and he pulls so hard!!! Glad he is not alone!

DS (10 months) so far doesn't fiddle but give him time and I am sure he will. DD (4) does and it drives me barmy not sure how to tackle it. Have tried explaining that although it feels nice she should do it in private rather than when we have a housefull of guests. Have tried ignoring it but nothing seems to work.

My ds absolutely adores his and takes great pleasure in grabbing it at any opportunity, especially when draped in only a towel after a bath!!
