Hi every one I am knew here and posted on the wrong thread prev.
My son is 4yrs 3mnth. A very loving happy child. Very bright. For the last 2 years I have been trying to get the health visitors to understand the other side of my son. It is so painful to watch as I can't help him or calm him down. He gets very excited about the smallest of things (to an adult they are small to a child they are big deals), this excitement goes overtop at the flick of a switch and hyper does not cover it, it then usually turns into hitting, screaming (happily), running around, jumping into furniture, off furniture, foul language I have heard the word f### 61 times in 8 min. There is nothing can be done. If you intervene it sends him frantic, all the while laughing, then as quick as it started it stops dead and it's as if he has no recollection of what just happened.
He is not like this all day, it is like a switch and there is no before or after.
He also has control issues and hyper sensitive to noise and touch, more noise for normal but touch if he is manic, he will try to control situations and people and can be quite manipulative.
It is not just me that has noticed this and it has been ongoing for a few years. I have tried the ignoring, 1 warning, time out, reward charts, firm talking but calm. Does anyone have any other ideas or strategies please. It's not fair on my child to go through this as it's not nice for any kid, I just want to help him.
