Some time between 'very quickly' and 'never'.

Mine stopped around 12 weeks I think? Well I mean they are always noisy! But not the loud sea lion type noises from early on!

Ds is. 6 and still very leggy and fidget when he's asleep. I feel sorry for his future partner Wink

Dd is nearly 12 weeks and is starting to grow out of it. In one night she will a period of noisy sleep, then a period of really heavy breathing, then a period of quiet calm sleep, and repeat.

My twins sounded like a choir of bullfrogs when they were wee. It astounded me, plus no one tells you how noisy newborns are when they sleep.

They stopped the grunting/noises around 12 weeks.

Well my DD is 10 wks tomorrow so fingers, toes, ears, teeth (!) crossed that she's only got another few weeks of it! We are seriously considering putting her in her nursery at night time rather than have her in with us

I've got a 4 yo fidgety dd upstairs. She stopped grunting whenever it was she started babbling (then talking and singing) in her sleep. I recently shared a bed with her on holiday - she ended up lying across me chattering, i was awake, she most definite wasn't!

We put our DS in his own room at 6wo because neither dh nor i could sleep through the noise he made whilst sleeping. Was getting to the ridiculous stage where DS would have maybe 2 or 3 2-hour stretches of sleep per night, and dh and i would lie there awake the whole time slowly getting desperate with tiredness but not able to drop off.

Obviously current SIDS advice advises against putting baby in its own room until 6mo, but we weighed this up against the other alternative of neither of us getting any sleep at all (by week 5 I was feeling pretty deranged). It was the right decision for us. There have been lots of threads on here where people have admitted to doing the same thing. But there will always be others who say they would never do it.

You have t do what you think is right.

If you do decide to put LO in the nursery, make sure you read the sids advice first and minimise all the other risks: make sure baby cannot overheat, make sure room temp is around 18 degrees, maybe use a sleeping bag rather than blankets so they cant get over baby's face. Do you or your partner smoke? If not, then the risk factor will be lower for your baby.

@ Botbotticelli - no neither DH nor I smoke but I will read the SIDS advice, thank u

I think my LO stopped at 2 or 3 months. It was very noisy before that!
