3.2yo, (and 19mo) but more so dd1..

What is your routine if your children have a bedtime past 7pm, in regards to TV..? We do storytime and snuggles, but sometimes even they're still awake they just lay with us but we don't like them seeing tv after 7/730 as it switches to adults..

Mine always go to bed by 7.30/8 until they are about 8 then they like a bit if evening tv or screen time.

Never had bedtime before 8pm, but if the TV was on after CBBies it would be cookery, science, nature, not bloody news or soaps.

DD2 has bf for 100's of hours with post 9pm TV behind her with the subtitles on, but I watched quizzes and horizon, not bloody detective thrillers.

Ours have always gone to bed about 8pm, but if the TV is still on after 7pm it's for a (suitable) DVD, or occasionally sport.

My 18 month old goes to bed at 7.30pm so we watch 15 minutes of an In The Night Garden dvd after his bath and before he goes to bed.

Upstairs for bath and PJs at 7pm, story and snuggles in bed at 7.30. Ds is 3 and still likes warm milk at bedtime. We allow an hour for the whole bedtime routine and factor in a few giggles, like chasing each other around tickling.

At 18mo my dd1 would be happy to go to sleep with me giving her a bottle or her in her bed, dummy blanket, and she'll self. Soothe.

Dd2, will not settle alone.

Maybe it's because she knows she's sharing a room? Dd1 was in her own room at 13m do was use to it?
