one year old, wits end with sleep deprivation

A favour of a typical night:

10:30 go to bed
11:00 Dr screams until 12:30 (will quieter to feed but big eyes and alert)
Followed by half hourly or hourly waking until up for the day at 5:30

Sometimes her warnings are so close I don't even go to sleep in between, and she can cry for hours.

I've been much better with her on routine than with my elder ones, she as a bath, cuddle and bed and is popped in the cot awake when most nights she goes to sleep quickly. Roman a good temp, dark, quiet....everything I can think of. She won't co-sleep as screams like a manager if near and not feeding, the only hope of settling is in a, quiet cot.

I'm truely at my wits end and going mad, I work quite long hours an have four children (no borne with the others sleeping beyond laying in)

She has very mild hemiplegia and will only sleep on her front, but on her front she can't roll or get up so I think the inability to change position adds to the issue. She's generally massively clingy, the model baby until put down. I think she wants to be mobile so wants us to move her to explore, she's quite switched on for her age compared to my others.

I just don't know what to do, I tried it all, even CIO for a week, no-one in the house slept. I love her to pieces but can barely function. Has anybody ha similar an worked through

Sorry things are so tough. No practical advice, but you might want to repost in sleep. There are a lot of wise people there.

Who goes to bed at 1030? You or her? Because 1030 til 5.30 is no where near enough sleep for a 1 year old. Does she have a nap in the day?

I would look to be getting her more sleep - much earlier bedtime and at least one nap a day after lunch. A couple of weeks of a routine should help.

Also does she have reflyx at all? Just wondering if her condition could cause this (esp if she prefers her front for sleeping). If so, that will mess with sleep.

Me, she goes at 7.30. 2 naps in the day, about 2 in morning and 30 min in pm.

She used to throw up constantly, but has seemed to be a happy chucker. I thing the not back sleeping is linked more to her mild hemiplegia/ cerebral palsy. She gets scared on her back and startles/ twitches in her sleep. She doesn't even like being placed on her back, on her back when tiny she was would arch backwards stiffly with her arms up and sort of get locked in a position. Even now if she bends her head back whilst lying on her back she seems to get a bit stuck.

I would strongly suggest that you speak to your GP about reflux medication - that behaviour sounds like reflux to me (my two had silent reflux).

I agree. I have a daughter with silent reflux and that all sounds very familiar to me
