How much milk do your kids drink?

In encouraging DS1 (3.2) to drop night nappies I have had to cut his bedtime milk. He only had 3oz but I don't know whether he should still drink it at some other point in the day or does he not need it?
He has porridge cooked in milk for breakfast, 1/2 a pot of a normal-sized yogurt for lunch and a bit of grated cheese in his dinner. He's not keen on cubes of cheese though. Thanks

DS hasn't really been that keen on milk since stopping breastfeeding at 1. He sometimes asks for one, maybe two small cups in the day (100ml each maybe) - I think at nursery they have milk at morning and afternoon snack time though I don't know how much, if any, he drinks. Sometimes has cereal with milk in the morning and often has a yoghurt and/or cheese in the day.

I haven't really monitored his milk intake since 18 months though tbh! They're supposed to have about 300ml (including cheese, yoghurt, cereal etc) up til 2 years but I don't think there is a required amount after that.

I think he should be getting enough from what you say but if you're unsure then could you not sneak in a cup of milk with breakfast or after tea etc?

My DS1 is 6 and drinks on 6 ounce (ish) cup of milk at night and usually has one yogurt a day. Today he had cheese on toast for lunch but by no means does he have cheese every day.

DS2 is 2 yrs and has a cup of about 4 ounces in the morning and 4 ounces in a bottle Blush at night. He also has a yogurt a day and will often snack on cheese.

Great, milk at evening meal is a good idea. Thanks All!

I wouldn't bother with the 'encouragement' to drop night nappies, to be honest - 75% of children aren't dry at night by the time they're 5, particularly boys. It happens when it happens because the body is triggered to produce a particular hormone, and liquid intake during the day has nothing to do with it. In fact if you limit liquids to try and get them dry you can retard the process. He doesn't need the milk per se, but it's not worth pushing the dry-at-night thing.
