My admittedly teething 15 week old DS has recently taken to raging when I don't respond to him immediately...you know those occasions when you have an armful of dirty clothes, the post in your mouth and a broom up your bum - and need a five minute break from his personal entertainment schedule.

He was quite placid previously. This will pass right?? I don't want Jo to send me to the gulag! Grin

You're answering your own question when you mention he is teething. I would guess he is going through a new phase, mine got cranky when experiencing a growth spurt. Otherwise known as, "Keeping you on your toes just as you think you're getting the hang of this parenting lark".

If it's cutting teeth that's aggravating him however settled his sleep pattern has been, that's almost guaranteed to go up in smoke too.

I know your DS is 15 weeks but just as a heads up, nearer the 20 week stage you may notice, occasionally slightly demanding evolves into shouty clingy. DS may start to object vociferously if left with anyone but you or DP. Once he twigs you are a separate entity he'll fret you're not coming back.

I used to hum or sing or keep up some commentary when I was elsewhere in the house if mine started a "Where's she gone" sort of anxious noise. My DM suggested a peek a boo game to reassure him when you're home you are there and paying attention, so they know that you're not far away when they can't see you right in front of them.

You do need a break so persevere with any additional help from those you trust to babysit. A quick leave-taking, "Mummy back soon", and big cuddle on return, Mummy home".

For now though good luck with him teething.
