Not going through the night

Hi

I realise I may be in a more fortunate position than others - but want to check!

Have 7 month old, started going through the night at about 7 weeks (from 2200-0600/0700) gradually over time the going to bed has been getting earlier and earlier and it is led by him. He started nursery a few weeks ago and this really did tire him out, and bedtime went to 1900 and through to about 0600-0700.

However 3 weeks ago he had a sickness and diarrhea bug which really cleared him out so when he felt better I knew that he would be hungry and wouldn't go through the night as no reserves. However we are now 3 weeks down the line he has 3 meals in the day including 4 bottles inclu one last thing at night at 1900 and he is waking up wanting more. He is also on hungrier milk formula.

For example fed at 1900, went to sleep, woke about 2230 (wet nappy and another bottle) then again at 0500.

I've tried pampers 12 hour dry nappies, we give as much food as he will take (without making him sick)

Why is he still waking - is it wet nappy then he realises he is hungry - is it he is hungry? We have to change the nappy as we've tried to leave it but then he leaks as they are big wet ones.

Welcome any ideas

Could it be the hungry baby milk? It. Doesn't contain anymore calories than regular formula and I've seen lots of people on here say that it really mucked up their Los feeding and caused them to wake at night. I'd try first stage formula in the day, you can always give the last bottle of hungry baby milk if you choose, and see if that helps.

3 meals a day is also a lot. The nhs don't recommend moving to 3 meals until they are between 8 and 9 months. Maybe his digestion isn't coping with the hungry baby milk and all of those solids...

Could he be teething or cold too?

Think you might have to manage your own expectations on this one though, he is sleeping for a 6 hour stretch and sleeping through is only 5 hours.

On the nappy front, is the nappy leaking?

Hi

I did wonder if it was the hungry milk and start weaning in the follow up milk - I know I'm probably a bit early with the 3 meals but he is eating the lot (and a lot)

The nappy leaks if you leave it during the night so we have to change him otherwise its wet jarmies, and grobag. He is teething too and just getting over a cold.

Maybe its a pain we have to get through at the mo
