he's grumpy, has a red warm cheek, has very runny poo, is obsessed with rubbing his gums and sucking on his hand and is drooling a lot (whereas he wasn't before now). surely he couldn't be teething yet?!

It can be ages yet before any sign of a tooth appearing. You'll find the teething epidodes come and go. My sister was born with a front tooth!

The tap turned on for DD at about 6 weeks and she dribbled for Britain! Used to get through about 8 bibs a day. She had the same symptoms as your DS but again no tooth appeared for months. can't quite remember when now but she had 2 by the time she went to nursery at 7 months.

I just used to whip a nork out when she got very fractious. You could try a dummy if you aren't totally averse. I didn't use one for various reasons but it might work.

Hello, my daughter seems to be dribbling a lot since birth (she is 11 weeks old at the moment) it seems to have increased a lot in the last month and for the last week her poos have stunk horribly and she seems to bite my fingers when i let her suck them! i have read frozen carrots are good and obviously teeting rings, but my question really is if i am actually alowed to give her a carrot already (just for teething) as she is still only 11 weeks?? She hasnt been grizzly though!

Thanks
