Teething - I think?

Hiya! I'm new to mumsnet and wouldn't normally contribute but I don't know who else to ask. My DB is 6.5 months and has recently had this vile sickness and diahorea bug - seriously would not wish on any if you or your small people. He seems to be over the worst of it now though.

Anyway, we had started weaning a few weeks beforehand and it was going really well. Before then he was ebf. However, now he hardly seems to have an appetite for grub, poos loads more than he used to - approx 3 times in the night and 5+ during the day. Cheeks are a bit red and sleep has gone for a burton. Is this classic teething? Typically nothing seems like its on its way teeth wise and I'm just a little worried and wondered if anyone would be willing to share their experiences so I know I'm not being totally neurotic!!!

Thanks so much xxxxx

Hi Mccark, i've reported your thread as webchats isn't the right place for it (this is where they get the celebs/ politicians etc on for use to interrogate ask questions to . Hopefully MN will get it moved to a more appropriate thread and you might get a few more responses.

Hi Mccark - it does sound like it might be teething, but it does also take them a while to get over bugs like that. His innards clearly aren't quite right yet if he's pooing loads more than usual. I'd give it another week before you expect things to be back to 'normal'. There is also a big 6m growth spurt and sleep can go out the window then, too. Is he feeding more at night too?
