With a jumperoo or a baby swing?

From what little I've read, both seem suitable up to around 11 months or so.

Anyone with experience of either pros or cons with either product? What would you use for a baby who cries most of the day because he's not picked up?!

My DS loved being on his feet or picked up, we bought the jumperoo for him when he was about 6/7 months old.
It's fairly bulky (that fact is amplified in our house because it's tiny) but kept DS entertained for a good 10 minutes or so which was good for him.
He's almost 12 months and still plays with the little toys on it now.

How much jumparoo time do you allow?

As much as he likes really, he gets bored so easily that length of time isn't really an issue for us. its usually 10 minutes max (maybe 15 if we're lucky) a few times a day and we'd pop him in as soon as he started to want to stand up, my friends that have a jumperoo for their DC (who had a little longer tolerance than DS) could put them in for about 20-25 mins although apparently they could be entertained longer!
It really depends on how your LO takes to it, do you have a friend you could try it with perhaps first?
Tbh if we had the right lay out in our house we would have probably got a door frame swing first.
A-because they're cheaper.
B-they take up less space

DD went in the jumperoo from about 16 weeks old, she loved it & gave me time to pop to the loo knowing she was safe :-)
