I don't know what the ruddy nora you are talking about. Is it a code?

SoupDragon · 09/07/2006 17:44

The look identical to me!

Go for whichever one you can get cheapest second hand IMO.

Greensleeves · 09/07/2006 17:46

I had a Bumbo. As a seat, for the purpose I bought it for, it was worse than useless. He preferred being carried around or being able to roll about on the floor and get the things he wanted. It didn't look very comfy either.

We ended up jamming it into the bottom of the bath - it meant he could have his hands free to play and splash much earlier than he would have otherwise. You can get better, more lightweight seats for the bath though......

.....so no, don't buy a Bumbo

Haven't come across the other one. It sounds intriguing

my dd loves her bumbo. she's quite happy to sit in it and watch us - or the washing machine!

don't know the other princess carrier.

moondog · 09/07/2006 20:08

Mine loved the Bumbo.
lmao at ridiculous moniker of t'other!

Lact8 · 09/07/2006 20:32

My dd loves her Bumbo. It was great when she was in between holding her head up and sitting up independantly.

Great now she's sitting and pushing herself into the crawling position, I can pop her in it if I need to answer the door, go to the toilet etc and not worry she's going to push herself over onto her face while I'm not there.

Handy for in the kitchen too, she also watches the washing machine

Nice and light for carrying baby and bumbo at the same time and really easy to clean

Only down side has been her chubby thighs get stuck in it, when I pick her up bumbo quite often still attached to her backside!

Dd2 has a Bebe pod and i e-mailed prince lion heart yesterday because dd (25 weeks ) just tips herself back when she is in it ,surely a design flaw?
So no i wouldn't recommend one !

stoppinattwo · 09/07/2006 21:21

I have absolutely no idea what you are all talkin about............ [eyes narrow]......... is this care bears??

Lact8 · 09/07/2006 22:33

LOL at carebears!

DD is a week off 7 months, she can wriggle around in it a quiet a lot but can't get out. She's never tipped it over but she can pull herself across a wooden floor in it using her toes!

mustrunmore · 09/07/2006 22:35

Personally, I hate prince lionheart because I bought something from thr baby show a few yrs ago, it broke 2 days later, and they wouldn't reply to my emails.

ds1 loved the bumbo. ds2 seems not so sure so far, but ds1 has reclaimed it anyway, aged 2.5!

Lact8 · 09/07/2006 23:55

DS2,2, regularly gets in it and DS1 who is 9 has been known to squeeze into it too!!

SAHMof1 · 11/07/2006 14:31

Have brought a Bumbo. They seem sturdier. DS (at 11 and half weeks) looks a bit small in it, but holds himself well for 5-10 mins until he gets tired and his head flops a bit. I watch him very carefully when he?s in it, as he?s only just started to hold his head up. He seems happy enough in it, but in his MEOS nappy, he is rather wedged in!

bought a bumbo but dd tips herself back and would have toppled over if i hadn't caught her ! she is 4 months ... hence don't think it is safe

MrsBadger · 11/07/2006 14:50

notice pelvicfloor and conni have each had the same problem (tipping backwards) with different seats.

sounds like this is a child problem not a seat safety one

LucyEBGoode · 30/01/2012 16:17

I have a prince lionheart baby pod, and wondered how you're meant to attach the little table thing y me jig......
