Just that. I haven't read any parenting books since DS was 2 or 3 months (though plenty of mumsnet, google). All's well I think but I should check I'm not unconsciously making a right hash of it. Plus he's mischief around his younger sister (5 months) and ideas for how to manage that situation better would be good.

Thanks

'How To Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk'
Adele Faber & Elaine Mazlish

Had huge impact with DS and friends' children of all ages.

yes, I will vote for How to Talk too. The only parenting book I have ever read that has been of any use to me long term.

What exactly do you want help with?

I've found Calmer, Easier, Happier Parenting to be really useful. DS1 (3.5) has been through a tough year with me pregnant with DTs then them arriving.

It has some good principles (e.g. never do anything for them they can do themselves) and also great tactics (e.g. "think throughs" where you talk through with them new routines or how they should behave at certain times).
