My DS is 6 mo. He loves being on his tummy, and wriggling. He's almost at the point of crawling. For the past week or so, during the night, despite the fact he is put in his cot on his back with his feet at the bottom, he always seems to end up on his tummy, with head at the top of the cot. The past couple of nights, he's started banging his head against the headboard at the top of the cot.
Sometimes he foes this repeatedly, and I'm scared he's really going to hurt himself. HV said not to put bumper on cot as it is SIDS hazard. Is there anything I can do to stop him from doing this? Last night I moved him back to the bottom, but that woke him and we were up for 2 hours. He's not normally up for long during the night. Is this normal? Any ideas how to stop him would be much appreciated.
