dd2 cannot concentrate on anything?

dd is 2.9 and wont listen to a whole story, wont colour in or draw for more than a few seconds, changes games toys within seconds, doesn't want to learn anything.
im finding it hard to do things with her as she flutters about.
dd1 was the opposite, sitting through book after book, colouring neatky for ages, concentrating on a game and interested in learning things.
so my question is how to play differently so dd2 gets things?

dd2 is very active so we do chalks in the garden, paints, lots of jumping/climbing/walking. do I just forget books and quiet stuff for now.
the only thing she will concentrate on is jigsaws, she will happily put together a 12 piece peppa pig alone and work on 24 piece quite well.

im amazed they are so different.

How is your DD2's hearing? Does she follow instructions etc?

she can hear a biscuit wrapper opening from miles around Grin
her hearing appears to be fine, she can follow complicated instructions, answer question in full sentences, has massive vocab.

Sounds like you are doing the right thing by tailoring your activities to their different personalities.

If you want to try and get her to spend more time on something would it be worth trying to get her to do an activity with her sister e.g. Play doh and see if her sister's longer concentration rubs off? Then maybe you could switch it and do something your younger DD is better at, like climbing? That way perhaps they will both learn from each other.
