yes to the grumpiness. He always has his fingers in his mouth, and since to days ago he is really, really clingy, which I read can be a symptom of teething. How old is yours? Have his teeth already broken through?

We don't get the horrible nappies but yes extra grumpiness, especially if a bit tired or hungry or bored, and yes waking in the night with a sudden howl. Also sudden howls in the day that seem to come out of nowhere. And frantic chewing/rubbing teeth and gums on things. And dribbling (though that seems to have cut down as she's got older). And occasional refusal to BF or eat much at meals.

Such fun Hmm

Just grumpiness with mine. which makes it very hard to diagnose. He recently cut his top 4 teeth all at once, and his only symptom was being really fussy and grumpy. No dribbling, no chewing things etc etc. Means I always feel like a bad mum, gving him calpol at my wits end with no real sign that he is teething (until a couple of weeks later when 4 teeth appear and suddenly it all makes sense!)

Just bitiness and dribbling, no grumpiness or apparent pain. She has 2 teeth so far so I suspect it'll get worse.

DD currently has bright red cheeks and the last couple of evenings has been waking up regularly whimpering (calpoled up too). Thankfully she hasn't been that grumpy and once midnight hits sleeps ok. But this is her first tooth so it'll probably get worse!
