So I've been a bit worried that some of the toys we've got for DS are a bit 'babyish' for him now & that he could be doing with more stimulating toys.

It's not AS big an issue at home but I'm looking for ideas for toys that we can take when we're out & about with him in the pram.

His usual toys at the moment are: a Lamaze firefly, Sassy ring of links, Sophie teether, crinkly book.

I'd appreciate suggestions as to what your DS's like/liked at this age. Thanks!

Hi - mine's a bit younger than yours, 5.5mo, but to be honest he usually doesn't have anything attached to his pram because I tend to completely forget to take anything (I always forget something, so I figure it's better to forget a toy than the changing bag!).
I think the stimulation from everything happening outside is enough really so I wonder if we just think they need all these little toys hanging in front of them - a motorbike backfiring results in a way more excited reaction than anything I've ever bought him!

Honestly DD is 9 months and the toys you list are still what I generally take out and about! she still enjoys them. if you want more pram toys I'd suggest buggy books, especially ones with rattly or furry bits, as they'll evolve with your DS iyswim.

most of DD's older/more stimulating toys aren't so suitable for out and about because they come apart (bits all over the place) or play tunes (annoying for everyone).

Yes I don't tend to take much in the way of toys out and about with us as dd2 (10.5mo) is content to watch the world around her and gets stimulation that way. She has a soft toy of some sort to clutch and chew. Little books are great toys though, so I agree with the above that if you want to get something new then a couple of little buggy books would be good. If it doesn't attach to the buggy then it will end up turning into a missile!
