Not drinking much but sleeping well?

My fifteen week old boy is an angel baby. He sleeps 12 hours a night and has slept through the night since he was 8 weeks old. He has three naps a day for 1 hour 30 mins each approx. and goes to sleep without a peep. Everything is wonderful. He's amazing. However, his appetite seems to be getting less and less. I am bottle feeding (please don't judge me, it's a long story and I'm not entirely happy about it) and he drinks anywhere between 4 and 7 oz a time even though he seems hungry. He just stops drinking. Before bed he can get by on just 2 oz and still sleep through. My first baby was Mr Hungry Pants and drank me dry when I breast fed him and drank 6 bottles 8 oz a day at this age. Is this lack of appetite yet seeming content normal? I know I shouldn't be complaining but he is totally different to his brother and it's worrying me. His weight isn't an issue, he's huge! So I keep thinking I shouldn't be worrying but you know what it's like being a mother...you can't help it. You just worry.

If his weight is fine, and he's happy and alert (and weeing lots) then I wouldn't worry, I guess.

if you are filling him up during the day and he is putting weight on then I wouldn't worry. He seems to be having plenty to me.

I bottle feed and my 6 week old fills up during the day anything between 3 and 5oz a time. She sleeps from 10 at night to about 6.30 so Ican't complain.

He honestly seems fine to me.

If he's very big and healthy, it could just be that his appetite has decreased to allow him to 'catch up' with his size, IYSWIM.

Siblings can be so different. Dd (my 2nd) ate 2 to 3 times as much as ds (my 1st), not just at similar ages, but later when they were eating the same meals, dd 8m and ds 3y. Yet dd is not fat (merely about 1y ahead of herself in size) and ds is slender but not skinny or undersized.

Would it reassure you to get him looked at by HV/GP?

Hi i don't know if it's normal but my dd is similiar. She is 19 weeks and sleeps through 12 hours and is totally bf. She has a smallish feed in the am and a couple of top ups in the day and a big feed before bed and is sleeping 12 hours and she is growing and is big too so like you i think it must be ok but worry at the same time. She lies in her bed just awake for ages in the am!! Obviously i don't know how much she is getting in ounces but only 3 boobs per day!

Thanks everyone for your advice. I agree, I shouldn't worry too much so long as he is happy, alert and sleeping so brilliantly. My two boys are so very different in so many different ways, it's amazing how much you can tell about personality from such a young baby but your really can! My eldest takes after me (worries too much) and the youngest is like his dad, totally laid back.
