Daytime Wetting - has anybody tried a vibrating watch alarm?

My DS has just turned 6, is going to start year 2 tomorrow and he's still wetting himself in the daytime. (We have no problem at all at night.)

I constantly have to remind him to go to the toilet as he will only go on his own accord when it's too late.
I have done a bit of research on the internet, and the vibrating watch alarms sound like a brilliant idea. He will get a gentle vibrating reminder to go the toilet when he's at school.
These are not cheap though, so I'm wondering if anybody has any experience of them before I fork out a hundred pounds?
Thank you for your help.

Have you spoken to his new teacher? Could they persuade him?

Don't know if its the same in your area but I'm a school nurse and these we can loan these out to families for free.School should be able to put you in contact with your school nurse team for support with the daytime wetting.
Has he had a urine sample checked at GP's? Water infections can often cause some issues with wetting.

Yes, our DD1 has one. She is 5. It has made a big difference. She is much less likely to have accidents at school now. We have it set to 5 minutes before each break and lunchtime at school. And every two hours outside of school hours. We got ours on the ERIC website, was less than £40.

Good luck.
