Hi,
My ds was sleeping through the night at 16 weeks, then got chicken pox and wanted feeding little and often, so started waking in the night again. I didn't mind as he was poorly, but we still haven't got back to normal.
A couple three weeks ago we finally started getting him into bed at 7 again and he would have his 3 (all about 1 hour each) daytime naps evenly spaced through the day, but then the feeding went really bad. He wants to feed every two hours or so.. Please help with advise

My ds is 10 months and also breastfed- and from my experience no 2 days are the same! He's slept through for weeks and weeks the nhe'll wake for a few nights in a row, then he was ill last week and has woken everynight since, I still find it amazing how much it all changes. If you relly want it to change, try a few different things but I would say he'll do what is necessary, and even if it's all great, he'll chnage it all again anyway! Oh the joys of parenting!

yep agree with that. They have growth spurts which change their feeding and sleeping patterns and teething is a nightmare. My 8mth DS has been dribbling since Xmas and no teeth yet. But they still have pain as the teeth grow and move around in the gums. Its just the joy of babies thats all. Then when they do sleep through from 7.30 to 6am (which was marvellous!) my DS changes it and wakes at 5.15am nearly to the minute.
LOVELY
The only thing you could try is to up the protein content of your food and have high protein snacks between meals. This will improve the quality of your milk and should fill him up. Also you could try making him wait 10 mins longer for each feed then slowly extend the time between feeds. Depends how wed you are to demand feeding as thats what breast is about!!
gooud luck

HI, thanx bramblina and bouncyball for your replies. I don't mind too much feeding him "all the time", but it can be a bit awkward when out and about. I wont worry about it now you say its normal. Thank you
