8 months, not doing a lot...

DD is 8 months and has just become a wobbly sitter, needs cushions around her as she falls if looking up/ round etc. Still a still wobbly to be spoon fed too easily as she may fall on it when going for it so the highchair is reclined.

She crashes to the floor if leaning too far forward, she can't wear bear on her arms so not up on all fours. She's a belly sleeper who is happy on her front but still find it hard work keeping her head up. She can recently get her head/ chest up on her forearms, but not straight arms, and tires quickly putting her head back down a lot. She will give up and just lie there until a toy is waved but doesn't get upset.

She can roll side to side but despite trying often can't get over.

She will weight bear on her legs, if held by the arms, with a crazy wobble and locked legs, for 5-10 seconds. She wouldn't hold onto things though herself.

Otherwise she's lively and not by any means a lazy baby. Very into the world, babbling a range of noises, demanding ,looking for toys, lifting arms up and very active and engaged. Looks like a live-wire 4/5 month old as she's petite and lean (despite being a FANTASTIC eater). Progress is very slow, but steady, no regression.

I know all babies are different, my boys cruised and crawled at this age, but is she moving outside the normal range? If so, so what? Does it affect outcomes normally?

Thanks!

I can't remember what is "normal" age for pushing up, rolling over etc - am sure Google can supply a range though - but from memory dd1 could not sit at 7.5months when started nursery but was walking by 10 months so don't think development is necessarily linear ifswim. I also think she wad youngest of my 3 to sit unaided do others were prob over 8 months.
I don't think I'd be concerned from what you've said, her mental development & interaction all sound fine so maybe she is just more focussed on that. But why not speak to HV or GP just to put your mind at rest?

Thanks, just thought I'd ask on here for more experiences. My hv is not great and it didn't seem a gp issue. My hv focuses on weight and weight alone and is obsessed with my small slow growing brood, and dd is tiny. It's all she conversed about whatever I say! They all grow later on to an above average height but slim... ie their parents shapes...
