Arghh! 6m DS keeps rolling onto tummy at nap times & being sick on the bed!!

So since DS has become good at rolling onto his tummy in the blink of an eye, he's been doing it in his cot when I put him down for naps. He tends to just roll one way at the moment & even though I put him close to the bars he still manages to get into his tummy. The problem is he tends to be sick in this position & I am fed up of finding him slapping about in vomit/changing sheets/worrying about the matress/him not sleeping.

I thought maybe I was putting him down before he was tired enough but I am putting him down at the rubbing eyes/yawning/fussing/face planting stage & he still capers about (including taking his dummy out & rattling it along the bars - before invariably dropping it through down the back of his cot Angry)

1st nap of the day and I'm already into dummy no.2 & bed sheet no.2!

Any advice? Or it is just one of those phases I have to deal with?

Put a muslin cloth over the top of the sheet, so you can just whip that out rather than changing the full bed. Also don't feed him so close to sleep?

Yeah I used to do the muslin thing in his basket but he moves around so much in his cot that I'd probably need about 3!

The feeding vs nap time makes no difference with DS - it can be an hour or 2 hrs after his feed & it'll still come back up! His playmat usually bears the brunt!

Sorry - it's just a phase. It will stop around 7.5 months if my DD is anything to go by. If he's got a full tummy, he's probably more comfortable lying on it, can you spend longer winding him before he goes down.
Is he chubby out of interest? Looking back at pics of my DD now, I was probably overfeeding her. She was v chunky and threw up constantly. No off switch where milk was concerned. Smile
Look for pram sheets on sale or extra large muslins and definitely put a mattress protector on or you'll probably have to replace the mattress for DC2 if you can face doing it again.

Similar problem with my 5mo since I switched from breast to bottle feeding. I reduced his feeds by just a tiny amount (10ml) and it's definitely reduced the amount he brings back up.
