Thought this would be a fun celebratory thread. Plus was so amazed I had to share what my son did today! We were doing some drawing (rainy day activity) and my husband said can you draw four (actually no idea why he said this I must ask him). Anyway, he went right ahead and drew a curved line, then a straight one crossing it. Not really recognisable but the right idea and done woth real intention. Then he did 1. No idea where he learnt what 4 looks like, he is 22months today. I love being a parent at moments like that, development is such a joy to see. :)

Ds is 3 with sn, he is completely non verbal, yesterday we were painting and he signed 'red' and 'blue' - whilst pointing to the right colours. I let him go right ahead and paint one arm blue and one arm redSmile

Ds is only 2 yrs old and I am 11 weeks pregnant suffering from awful morning sickness (all day long). Poor ds has spent last couple of weeks observing me throwing up in nearest sink/loo round the house. This morning i was in the loo throwing up and ds walked straight in, handed me 2 sheets of kitchen roll (which he had gone downstairs for, climbed up to kitchen counter, torn off himself and ran back upstairs) and started patting my back saying ok mama ok mama.

Made me melt - it was such a kind thing to do Smile

Wow LadyLech, your DD is nails!
DD, 6mo, has just started to crawl this week. I say crawl, she takes about 2 'steps' then collapses on her belly to commando crawl. The determination on her face is just brilliant, and as soon as she's mastered something she's straight on to the next thing. She's in such a rush!

DD (2.6) suddenly announced she was going to draw the letter P, and she did! (It did look more like a lollipop, to be fair, but it was her version of P). She then went on to draw O, M, X, D and Z. I didn't know she could do any of those but she's obviously been paying attention to Get Squiggling. And there was me feeling guilty for plonking her in front of CBeebies. Hmm

Ds2 played an ordinary game of basketball today, what I was extremely proud of was that he assisted/comforted every single player who had a fall/got hit in the face with the ball by putting his arm around their shoulder and helping them off the court (for not only his team but the other one too). He is 8.

Dd (6) trotted on her own today after only 3 horse riding lessons - perfect rising trot.

Ds1 - always proud of him for his incredible work ethic and dedication to his dream of a College Basketball scholarship in the uSA. He trains 6 times a week with 4 x 5.30am starts and never complains.
