Puke that looks like scrambled egg (nice, I know!)

Not sure if this is right place to post, but anyone else familiar with this??

Last week my dd (15mo) suddenly threw up - no signs of illness before or after. It was just like scrambled egg or cottage cheese and smelt absolutely foul. But she was fine immediately afterwards and we suspected it might have been her milk.

Roll on a week and same thing, just as she was being handed over to nursery. No suspicion over her milk this time. Again, she's absolutely fine now.

Any ideas anyone? She does have a bit of a cough and snotty cold....

It might just be the mucous from her cold. Maybe try the health forums. Sorry I can't be more help. Obviously a GP is best placed to answer.

Mucous can make them throw up. Is she particularly snotty? Hayfever? DD gets this occasionally from car sickness. It will make her tummy tender enough to throw up again later in the day, but no side effects at all. She also has hayfever and has been a snot monster until recently.

If it doesn't seem connected to any illness but keeps happening occasionally, I'd be tempted to keep a food diary first, to see if there might be something there that was setting her off?

Thanks so much for the replies - hopefully it is connected to her cold but keeping a food diary is a good idea. She's absolutely fine today (as she has been since it happened yesterday)but if it happens again then Dr for sure. Thanks again.

I find that if mine throw up after dairy it always smells vile and looks like cottage cheese. They are not intollerant though.
