I've just looked in on ds during his morning nap and he has fallen asleep on his front with his left foot up by his left ear, and his right leg out behind him! I'm assuming that if he was uncomfortable he'd move, but he seems fine! I just wish I was that bendy.

my son sleeps curled up like hes going to do a forward roll! he sounds sweet he certainly sounds bendy, you'll have to send him to gym classes when hes older Smile

leanoracat - that's exactly the position that my ds spent his last 6 weeks in the womb! Funnily enough, I've never seen him adopt this position since!

I too wish I was that bendy!! Smile

lol thats funny! My DD doesnt quite have the acrobatics that yours seem to but she will sleep on her side with one hand holding the top of the cotbed rail and one foot propped on the top of the cotbed ral, if you get what i mean! A quick question though, she also has a habit of rolling over in her sleep and waking herslef up screaming becasue ( i presume) shes all dis orientated and cant turn back over. I have tried twoels either side but shes wise to it and now just moves it uot of her way.... any thoughts suggestions or tips as to how i can stop this, shes waking now a couple of times in the night and its startng to grate!!!

Ds always sleeps as close to the wall as he can get, usually with his neck at right angles to his body so he's pressed up against the wall on two sides. I presume it's a hangover from when we co-slept.

I love it when they sleep on their tummies curled up with their bottoms up in the air :)

Jaysfirst, I don't know how old your dd is, but you can get \link{http://www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk/cgibin/priamlnk.cgi?CNO=1&MP=ITM^GIN200&CAT=FST61&SPCAT=IT&CODE=ST24506&TYPE=P&SHOP=TYP\this}
from Jojo Maman Bebe. Don't know how much use it is though, as I've discovered, to my cost, that babies will do pretty much what they want however many expensive gizmos we use Grin

leanoracat, thanks for the link, DD is 5 months so not sure i would get my monies worth! Plus i think she would roll right over it, they are so strong arent they!! What we used to do was lie her as close to the edge as poss on her left hand side ( this was the way she could turn) and that seemed to stop it for a bit, now shes rolling both ways so my DH last night layed her right against the cot side and then we have tempar pillows, he put one of them on her other side, not at head height, but from waist down, so it wedged her in, so to speak... she wok again at about 4 ish ( always the same time ish) and somehow had managed to push this over and was almost on her tummy but couldnt quite get there because of the lack of space, ended up getting all fraustrated again, its a pain in the bum, because as soon as i put her back on her back, shes asleep again, but then it takes me forever to nod off!!!

Jaysfirst - have you tried putting the towels under the sheet in the cot? It might flummox her for a while?

DS sleeps right at the top of his cot with his bottom sticking up in the air. He also has to go to sleep cuddling his wooden train. Is 19 months old now and will shortly have to go to a bed as getting too long for his cot.

TwinsetandPearls · 18/06/2006 01:30

my dd has started sleeping under her bed. WE have to drag her out every night when we go to bed so she doesn't wake up forget where she is and crack her head on the underside of her bed.

Sugarmag · 19/06/2006 12:05

My DS(2) likes to bury himself completely under his duvet, head & all and then usually wakes up an hour or two later soaked with sweat!

tracyk · 19/06/2006 12:11

We bought ds (2.4) a toy box from Ikea yesterday and we had a real job coaxing him out from it into his bed last night! He also got a mouse cushion which he thinks is his pillow for in there!

CheesyFeet · 19/06/2006 13:01

dd (23 months) usually sleeps on her front with her bum in the air, very cute :o, or sometimes she sleeps with her head jammed right up against the wall so it's almost at right angles to the rest of her body.

Shouldn't be comfortable should it?

shhhh · 19/06/2006 19:26

cheesyfeet, our dd is the same..!!! She is 13 months and looks like she is praying on her knees..!

Sometimes sleeps with her head at the top of the cot and body in the opposit direction iykiwm. Doesn't look comfortable byt hey she sleeps well..!
